The Battle of the Buskers

The hunt is on for the best Scouse Busker and the search will be helping raise funds for The Holistic Cancer Centre.

The final of the competition to find the best street entertainer in the region will be held in the Cavern, the most famous club in the world, on Monday 30th October. Buskers are invited to perform as part of the Liverpool Street Festivals being organised by the Liverpool BID company on the Sunday 6th and Sunday 13th August.

These performances will be filmed and the best six will be chosen from the videos to perform at the club along with other established entertainers. The final night is being hosted by the Cavern Club and all money raised will go to the charity. A specially selected panel will choose the winner who will receive a package of prizes and will be given a free recording session in the Glass Studios where the late Gerry Marsden, who was patron of the charity, recorded his final record. The Busker Whiskey Company is backing the project and will be providing the prizes. Liver Birds Inc will also produce a unique version of their Liver Bird to present to the winner.
